Job/person summary
Kingham Primary School is a one-form-entry school with a team of creative, inspirational and dedicated staff. We are seeking to appoint a passionate, highly-motivated School Business Manager to take on this key role, working alongside our existing Office team and the Headteacher.

The School Business Manager is responsible for the financial resource management, facility and property management and health and safety management. Tasks will include (but are not limited to):

  • Preparing annual budget plans
  • Monthly budget monitoring
  • Sourcing additional funds for the school
  • Managing school bank accounts and procurement cards
  • Managing payroll, staff contracts and associated online records
  • Overseeing the implementation of health and safety systems
  • Overseeing the safe maintenance an security of the school premises
  • Ensuring compliance with Data Protection and GDPR regulations

The role begins in July 2019 and will be term time only for 15 hours per week.  This is a Grade 10 post (point 27 – 30) £30,507-32,878 pro-rata and it is permanent.

The successful candidate should have:

  • experience of word processing, spreadsheets
  • good working knowledge of Office 365
  • good literacy and numeracy skills
  • good communication skills 

The successful candidate would ideally have a good working knowledge of:

  • Oxfordshire /Hampshire CC Integrated Business System (IBC)
  • Oxfordshire Schools Financial Planning Software – BPS
  • Integris 
  • ParentMail
