Values and ethos

School vision:

“Within a valued and respected community, we need to strive to prepare and nurture our future generation to be creative thinkers and inspired learners in an ever-changing world.”

At Kingham Primary school we want every child to be successful; to reach for success from the very first day they join us and throughout their school lives so that when they leave us, they have a love of learning for the rest of their lives.

Kingham Primary School strives to:

  • deliver a well-balanced, creative curriculum tailored to the needs of every child based on the National Curriculum and the Foundation Stage Curriculum
  • be friendly, happy and hardworking
  • deliver high quality teaching and learning
  • encourage and nurture positive attitudes towards work
  • develop respect and understanding for others
  • provide a stimulating, caring, supportive and safe environment
  • encourage our children to become confident, independent learners who respond positively to challenge
  • encourage our children to have the confidence to explore and experiment as they work to develop their skills and talents
  • facilitate a range of sporting, musical and extra-curricular activities which enrich our curriculum
  • celebrate the achievements of all children, both in and out of school
  • encourage each individual to take responsibility for their behaviour and to act as  good role models  to others
