Commotion10, the award winning, family-friendly music festival will bring quality entertainment for all ages this summer. The event raises funds for the UK’s leading childhood cancer charity, Clic Sargent and SSNAP – Support for the Sick Newborn And their Parents, based at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. It also supports local music initiatives.
Now in it’s fifth year, this year's Commotion takes place on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th July 2010, in Kingham, Oxfordshire and promises to be the biggest and most exciting yet.
In addition to showcasing established musical talent, Commotion also features popular Oxford and local up-and-coming bands on several stages. The site holds a main stage, a new music stage and an acoustic stage. Commotion's new live jazz evening takes place on Friday 9th July.
On Saturday 10th, live music will be playing on the three stages simultaneously, while elsewhere drumming and percussion workshops, circus acts, food and 'festival-style' stalls, bbq, cake and beer tents, face painting etc...also keeps the crowds amused until around 11pm. Commotion opens at 12pm on Saturday.
Beverly Craven, ABBA Gold, Simon McBride and many other great acts played Commotion 2009, and it attracted around 1800 members of the public. It is also very well supported by local press, TV and radio.
Watch this space for who will be playing Commotion this year...
