Painting our sketch book covers. But using acrylic paint is more difficult than we thought! But we like the effects.

Art Club Spring Term - Y3/Y4/Y5

This term we have been looking at the work of English (Essex) artist, Edward Bawden. His designs and art incorporated confident and beautifully composed pen lines which he sometimes used in printing. We were surprised to learn that he also designed images which can still be seen on some of the London Underground stations!

The children also  used water-colour paint to enhance designs which we have entered into the BBC Little Painting Challenge, they really enjoyed that and hope there will be another next year.
