Kingham Primary School Association
Hello and thank you for clicking on the KPSA page.
For new and old hands here is a brief explanation of who we are and what we do....
The KPSA is essentially Kingham Primary School 's Parent & Teachers Association. Generally PTA's are well known throughout communities where schools are integral.
We are a charity set up by parents to provide the extra things the Local Education Authority (LEA) isn't able to provide. We directly pay for Mrs TR the school's specialist music teacher, ensuring the children have quality teaching, an orchestra, choir and school productions. Since 2006 we have already paid for a digital camera for each class, wet games play, £200 of books for each class, dyslexia screening tests, paper trimmers, audio books, a new cooker and cooking equipment.
Prior to this we raised substantial finds to build a school hall. We have also funded games for 'Puzzles Day' for Key Stage 1 and 2, 'Problem Solving' computer software, French Resource 'Toute la Monde' and resources for gifted and talented children.
We are now raising money for new play equipment for the Foundation/Playgroup outside area.
Feedback from you has also highlighted requests for sports coaching, books, music equipment, school trips – particularly for parents on low income and art materials. A specific piece of playground equipment has also been requested by our children themselves.
Funds raised by KPSA activities enable the children to gain so very much more from their time at Kingham. A sincere thank you for all of you who so very kindly contribute and support the work we do. Equally, if you would like to join us – in a supportive, active, when needed, to attend meetings or to spread the word role – please do feel very welcome to contact any of the committee members listed here.
PLEASE CHECK EVENTS REGULARLY AND POP THEM IN YOUR DIARY – WE WOULD LOVE FOR YOU AND THE REST OF THE FAMILY TO COME ALONG. AND IF A PARTICULAR EVENT IS OF INTEREST TO YOU PERSONALLY DO GET IN TOUCH – YOUR IN PUT WOULD BE VALUED.

TEAM WORK......
How to raise funds through company based Payroll Giving schemes:
Payroll Giving is a unique, simple and tax effective way for parents to give to the KPSA on a regular basis. Surveys show that each month around two thirds of us give to charity. Giving regularly to a favourite charity is an excellent way to help others; this could include the KPSA and the school community.
Anyone can join a Payroll Giving scheme if their pay (or pension) is taxed through PAYE and their employer offers the scheme. The agreed donation is deducted from pay before PAYE tax is calculated, so the employee will get tax relief straight away at their highest rate of tax. This means the donation to the KPSA, effectively costs the parent less.
There is no minimum or maximum that can be given through Payroll Giving and all contributions are tax efficient. A £10 pledged from the parent’s gross salary, as a standard rate tax payer at 22%, it will only cost the parent £7.80 and £6 if they pay a higher rate of tax 40%.
If your employer does offer the scheme, then setting up a regular contribution is very straightforward. You simply complete a donor form authorising their payroll department to take an agreed amount from your salary. The employer will then pass these funds onto an HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) approved Payroll Giving agency, who then distribute the donations to the specified charity - (KPSA). You are eligible provided you are an employee whose employer deducts PAYE tax from their pay. For more information visit

KPSA are also looking for Class Reps - would you be able to be a two-way communicator between your child's class and the KPSA? Again, please do make contact.
New 'members' of KPSA, by which I mean fantastic individuals :)! who can give an evening every 6-weeks or so to join a discussion on how money can be raised and our childrens education be supported and help out with events (help out meaning a choice not an expectation)....are very welcome! The Chair of the committee would especially like to hear from you.
A committee meeting is held regularly to discuss ideas for fund raising and also social events which form an important part of the continuing relationship between all parents, children and the school. Advance notice is given of these informal meetings or details are always available in school and all parents, regardless of whether they are a committee member, are invited to attend. A member of staff usually attends these meetings in an advisory capacity and there is an excellent relationship between the KPSA, teachers and the governing body.

Funds Raised by the KPSA
The KPSA are very grateful for all your efforts in supporting the events which raise funds for additional resources for our children.
By using www.EasyFundraising.org.uk Kingham Primary School BENEFITS
How it works:
Easy Fundraising.org.uk provide a FREE service where you can shop with your favourite on-line stores and at no extra cost raise funds Kingham Primary School Association. You still shop directly with each retailer as you would normally, but simply by using the links from our site first, each purchase you make will generate a cash-back donation to the KPSA.
For example, spend £25 with WH Smith and 3.5% will be donated. You will have raised £0.88, at no extra cost to your purchase. Make any purchase from Amazon and 2.5% will be donated. Insure your car with Direct Line and raise £35.00, or purchase a mobile phone from O2 and earn £17.50, and so on.
You can shop with 600+ Brand Name retailers and to raise funds you just use the links from our site first - it's that simple!
If you ALREADY shop on-line, why not help good causes at no extra cost from purchases you would make anyway.
Why do retailers support KPSA fund-raising?
It seems very generous, but when you buy on-line the cost to the retailer is much lower. As there's no shop, salesperson, heating, electricity, rates, not even the cost of the bag to put your goods in, retailers are more than happy to help good causes when new on-line customers are introduced to them via our web site.
Will I pay anything extra?
No. You pay the same prices exactly as if you visited each retailer's web site directly. Using the Easy Fundraising.org.uk service will not cost you a penny more than you would pay normally.
How much can I raise?
Up to 15% of every purchase is donated, depending on which retailer you select and what you buy. The exact donation that will be paid is displayed directly next to each retailer listing. With some categories such as mobile phones and insurance there is a cash value. If a retailer offers more than one donation, or if there is any special information about the retailer, please click the image
Am I dealing with the retailer or with easyfundraising?
You still deal directly with each retailer. We simply record your visit to their web site and reward your selected cause if you make any purchases.
Save money
Many retailers give exclusive 'Internet-only' discounts, special offers and even money saving 'eVouchers' to our members, so as well as raising funds, you can also use our site to save money.
What next?
Then just remember to use www.EasyFundraising.org.uk the next time you shop on-line!
